Board of Directors

Becky was born and raised in Waterloo, Ontario and relocated to the Kincardine area in 1990. She received a certificate in Human Resources Management from Fanshawe College and holds the designation of CHRP, Certified Human Resources Professional.

Becky spent 15 years working at the former Kincardine & District General Hospital and the South Bruce Grey Health Centre in both the Finance and Human Resources Departments.

In 2006, she accepted a position in Human Resources at Superheat FGH in Kincardine. Becky also served a term with the South Bruce Grey Health Centre Board of Directors from 2008-2011, as well as volunteering with other local community organizations. Becky enjoys spending time with her husband Mike and her son Jake.

Raised in the village of Thamesford near London Ontario.  Graduated with a B.E,Sc. from the University of Western Ontario in Mechanical Engineering.  Spent a number of years in the automotive industry with the Ford Motor Company and General Motors Corporation in various engineering and production positions.

Moved to Kincardine in 1977 to operate the Mahood Lumber Company as President and ownership under the BHN Holding Group.   Actively involved in the Kincardine United Church serving as Chairman of Finance, Property and a member of the Management Board.  Joined the Hospital foundation in April 2005 and served as President in 2011 to 2013. Presently serving the Foundation as Treasurer.

Dianne was born in Kincardine and has remained in the area with the exception of a year spent at Stratford Teacher’s College.

After teaching for seven years at W.E. Thompson Public School she retired from teaching to raise two sons, Rob & Matthew.

Dianne and her husband Don ran a contracting company, Don MacArthur Contracting for several years and eventually a farming enterprise .

Dianne has been involved in several volunteer activities over the years including Tiverton Minor Sports and Tiverton Agricultural Society and currently enjoys spending time with her five grandchildren.

Mary was born in Kincardine and has remained in the area with the exception of attending nursing school. Mary has over 40 years’ experience in the health care field working mainly in the local hospital.  The majority of years Mary worked at the hospital were in a supervisory capacity.  After Mary retired from the hospital she accepted a position at Trillium Court as Director of Nursing in Long Term Care.

Mary joined the Foundation in order to give back to the hospital by helping keeping our local hospital current to give the best care possible to the residents and visitors in our community. Mary lives in Kincardine with her husband Doug and has two grown daughters who are both married and five grandchildren (four girls and one boy).  Mary has been a member of the Auxiliary and of KASAC in the past.  When Mary is not helping out in the Foundation she is busy with her grandchildren at hockey, soccer or baseball games or gymnastics. 

Graham was born and raised in Kincardine. He studied Mathematics at the University of Waterloo and then attended law school at the University of Western Ontario. After being called to the Bar in 1980, Graham practiced law in Kincardine for 31 years before his retirement in 2011.

Graham has served on a number of other local charitable organizations including Kincardine Big Brothers & Big Sisters, Bluewater Summer Playhouse and the Paddy Walker Heritage Society.

He joined the Foundation Board in 2012 and appreciates the vital role the Foundation plays in maintaining and improving the level of care and services offered at our local hospital.

Maureen was born and raised in Stratford, Ontario and moved to London were she attended Fanshawe College to complete her diploma in Recreation Leadership.

Maureen has worked in Long Term Care, Assisted Living and Retirement Homes in the Recreation department. She has provided social recreation activities for residents as well as being a Manager of the Recreation Department. Maureen is currently working at Trillium Court in Restorative Care and Recreation Department.

In 2008, Maureen and her husband Grant along with 2 daughters Sarah and Lauren relocated to Kincardine.  Maureen has been a Director on the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation since 2013.  Maureen also enjoys volunteering at her children’s schools with meal programs, school trips and Lego League.

Dorne was born at the Kincardine and District General Hospital and was raised in Kincardine and Bruce Township.  He worked at the Bruce Nuclear Power Development for 35 years before retiring in 2014.  Dorne has served on the Tiverton Village Council as Reeve and as a Bruce County Councillor. 

He has served on many boards and committees over the years including; the Kincardine and District General Hospital Board of Directors; South Bruce Grey Health Centre Board of Directors, including as Chair.  He currently serves on the board of the Bruce County Historical Society and as a volunteer with the Bruce County Museum.  Dorne and his wife Betty live in Tiverton and have two children, Rob and Amy.  Rob has graduated from Wilfred Laurier University and Amy is currently studying at the University of Guelph.  Dorne joined the Foundation board in 2015 and looks forward to making a positive contribution to the goals of the Foundation.

Bob was born in Stratford Ontario and moved with his parents to Ripley in 1960. He joined the Royal Bank in Goderich in 1964 and his career with RBC took him initially from Goderich to several branches in Toronto and a stint on the audit team.  Subsequently, as branch manager, postings included positions in central and eastern Ontario before a final move to Kingston.

After retirement, Bob and his wife, Gail, moved back to Ripley in 2007 where he continued to provide assistance to the RBC branches in Ripley and Kincardine.

Over the years Bob’s volunteer activities have included his church, service groups, and the Cataraqui Cemetery Board in Kingston.

Carol was born at Kincardine Hospital, volunteered as a Candystriper while a teenager, worked there as an RN for 23 years, and has been a member of the Hospital Auxiliary for 5 years.  It is very important to her to have an up to date, vibrant local hospital and she is anxious to do her part to keep it viable and thriving.   She graduated from Victoria Hospital School of Nursing, London and worked in Cambridge and Chatham hospitals before returning to the area with her husband to farm overlooking beautiful Lake Huron, where they raised their two children, Christine and Greg.

 While working full time at the Kincardine Hospital, she obtained her degree and switched focus when Bruce Power became a private company, joining the Wellness Department as an Occupational Health Nurse for eleven years.  During her career, she has been active in professional activities, including terms on county and provincial RNAO Board of Directors.  She has also been active in community organizations, including Relay for Life and organist at St. Luke’s Anglican Church.  Currently her greatest joy is spending time with her family, especially her seven beautiful grandchildren.

Diane was born in Wales, UK and immigrated with her family to Forest, ON when she was 4 years old. Diane attended high school in Forest and then went to Lambton College where she graduated as a Process Operator while working in Polysar in Sarnia.

Diane went back to school for her Business Certificate and eventually her Website Design Diploma. Diane worked in Headoffice for TD Estate and Planning Division until the department closed and moved to Toronto.  

Diane and her family moved to Kincardine in 2005 where she worked casual in the Bluewater District School Board while volunteering at the Kincardine Hospital. Diane was hired as the Foundation Coordinator in 2008.  Diane is married and has two children.  Her favorite time is spending time with her two beautiful granddaughters (Madison and Georgia).

Leanne moved to Kincardine with her husband David, from Northern Ontario in 1980. They have two grown children, Scott and Krista, both born at the Kincardine Hospital.
Leanne began her career in finance working at the Royal Bank. In 1993 she left the bank and started working at Matchett Financial Services becoming a Financial Advisor in 1995. Leanne is currently enjoying retirement after 24 years at Matchett’s. She volunteered on the Finance Committee at the Kincardine United Church and Relay for Life with the Cancer Society.

Leanne enjoys spending time with her grandson, golfing and camping.
