Rock with Your Docs concert kicks off Kincardine Hospital Redevelopment Capital Campaign
Ticket holders could win grand prize of $10,000
On June 17, gather your friends and head to the Davidson Centre to Rock with Your Docs in support of the Kincardine hospital.
The Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation (KCHCF) Capital Campaign Committee is excited to announce it will host an electrifying evening-long concert event at the Davidson Centre to officially kick-off the Building Heath Care for Generations fundraising campaign for the first phase of the Kincardine hospital redevelopment project.
Rock with Your Docs will feature popular bands Crazymaker and Lulu’s Roadhouse Band, while Kincardine’s talented health care rock stars – Local Anesthesia – will open the show.
“After two long years of missing out on the community events that Kincardine is known for, we couldn’t think of a better way to kick off the hospital redevelopment campaign than to bring the community together for a night of fantastic live music and dancing,” said Dr. Jason Murray, a Kincardine physician and member of the KCHCF Capital Campaign Committee. “We are excited to be able to offer this great event and raise funds for a much-needed project that will benefit the entire community for generations to come.”
And, as if a night of great live music and dancing wasn’t enough, ticket holders have the chance to win incredible cash prizes. Draws will be held throughout the night for three grand prizes: third prize is $1,000; second prize is $5,000 and first prize, to be drawn at midnight, is $10,000!
The concert will be held at the Davidson Centre, indoors and outdoors, on Friday, June 17. Doors open at 7 p.m. and performances start at 8 p.m. Minors may attend with an adult ticket holder from 7-9 p.m. Age of majority only after 9 p.m.
Tickets are $50, cash only, and are available at McKechnie Pharmacy, The Bruce Steakhouse, Hawg’s Breath, Grey Matter Beer Company, MicroAge Basics, KCHCF office, Hawthorne Medical Clinic reception, and the Davidson Centre Office weekdays from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
The KCHCF Capital Campaign committee has established a fundraising goal of $12 million for the hospital redevelopment campaign, which will pay for the local share of South Bruce Grey Health Centre’s $65 million Phase 1 Redevelopment Project to revitalize and enlarge critical areas of the Kincardine hospital, as well as its ongoing medical equipment needs.
The Phase 1 Redevelopment Project will modernize and expand the emergency department, diagnostic imaging and outpatient laboratory services, create a new decontamination room to better able to serve the local nuclear industry’s emergency preparedness program, and improve the front entrance and loading area.
