President's message
An exciting 2022
The Foundation has been busy during the 2022 year with much to look forward to in the future.
We are pleased that our Building Health Care for Generations Capital Campaign is moving forward, with committee members working on several initiatives. Our Capital Campaign committee meets monthly, and has completed the Case for Support, informational marketing material, and recently began canvasser training. I encourage everyone to visit our website www.kincardinefoundation.ca to learn more about the campaign. You will find several resources, a link to the redevelopment plans, our fundraising goals, as well as other information, including how to donate.
The Capital Campaign Committee would be pleased to speak at your community organization meetings or events, where you can learn more about the project. In addition, if you are an enthusiastic community-minded individual who wishes to make a difference and volunteer, please contact the Capital Campaign at kinchospitalcampaign@gmail.com.
The construction for the much-anticipated CT scanner is well underway. We are excited to see the walls go up, and we can’t wait until the machine arrives in early 2023. We are confident this service will change the landscape of health care services at the Kincardine hospital.
In addition to the expansion project, we continue to financially support the hospital’s ongoing medical equipment needs. For the current year, in addition to the CT scanner, we have committed to raise almost $400,000 in medical equipment and upgrades. We anticipate significant commitments in the next few years, including an upgrade to our mammography machine.
We wish to extend our deepest thanks and gratitude to all of the staff and physicians at the hospital, who continue to provide exceptional care to their patients under extremely difficult and challenging circumstances. We also extend our sincere thanks to all of the volunteers who give their time at the hospital and for the Foundation.
On behalf of the Foundation, we thank our community for its continued support, and we look forward to next year when we continue Building Health Care for Generations.
We wish everyone a healthy and happy holiday season, and a very prosperous New Year.
